Campus Resources

UW-Whitewater offers multiple resources to help their graduates thrive after graduation. Many of these resources are meant to be practiced and perfected as your time as an undergraduate student, so you feel comfortable doing these things upon graduation. Three helpful resources include the Warhawk Success Closet, Mock Interview Opportunities through the Career Services Department, and access to LinkedIn Learning.

From their website: “The Warhawk Success Closet is a University initiative to provide students access to free professional and business appropriate attire. What’s helpful in exerting confidence is feeling confident and looking your best. So stop by and check out what the Success Closet has to offer. The location of the Success Closet is in the Career Services Office in the University Center, room 129. The hours of operation are from Monday through Friday from 8am – 4:30pm or by appointment.”

The mock interviews are held through Career Services where students are able to sign up for a mock interview with staff who work at this center. There are also rooms available to be reserved to invite your potential employer to interview you on campus if the interview is too far off campus. This service has decreased recently with new technologies such as WebEx and Zoom, however still a great resource for those who need it. From the Career Services Website “Schedule a virtual or phone appointment with the designated career advisor/counselor  for your college by contacting Career Services at (262)472-1471, filling out the online Appointment Request Form or stopping by the front desk in UC 129. “

LinkedIn Learning provides short online sessions where students are able to train and earn certificates through LinkedIn that could be displayed on their LinkedIn page for future employers and other professionals to see. The trainings offered have a wide variety of topics taught by professionals around the country. See the example certificate below:
