Meet Me At Starbucks?

Starbucks is always a great option to meet for a quick meeting or an interview. Starbucks is a great place for business since there is something on the menu for everyone, free wifi, a sometimes quite place to work, and of course the delicious coffee aroma. Starbucks understands they are a great meeting place, however have recently faced some criticism because their cups are not environmentally friendly. Starbucks has heard the complaint and will be launching a new biodegradable cup at an upcoming event.

Starbucks Coffee will be hosting a launch event for their new biodegradable cups. This event will take place on Earth Day, April 22, 2023 as part of their new “protect the planet program” initiative. This program includes switching all cups to ones that may be composted or recycled, less single use plastic in stores, and more environmentally friendly equipment at cafes. This event will have a full coffee bar as per usual, baristas will be wearing black aprons instead of green. Black aprons means the barista has received more training. Starbucks wants the best staff available for this event to showcase their serious tone towards their early phases of their new “protect the planet program”. The hope is all Starbucks stores in the United States will be using completely biodegradable cups by April 2024.

Youth Leadership: Empowering the Future by Ali Redha- Tedx

This video is lecturer Ali Redha who lectures on the importance of leadership. He mentions we fail to realize the importance of soft skills. “Self awareness is the essence of leadership” this is something to keep in mind as you begin your college career. When you begin to join organizations and speak up in meetings, keep Ali Redha’s advice in mind.
